History

Riley Aviation: Midwestern hospitality, big city efficiency.

Aviation has always been a family affair, as our company was founded upon the very dream and love for flight that began with twin brothers Don and Ron Riley. In 1982 they traded a dump truck and a backhoe to the owners of their local flight school in Sturgis, Michigan. Thus, Riley Aviation was born.

At the ages of 17 & 14, brothers Brian & David not only learned to fly as a hobby, but dreamed of running a business someday. In 1990, the opportunity arose and together the Riley brothers inherited the helm of Riley Aviation.

Riley Aviation really took off as an Aircraft Charter Company when we flew our first passengers aboard a twin-piston Cessna in 1992. By the time my younger sister Becky bought into the family business in 1995, our charter fleet had grown to four.

Today, we are proud to have grown our fleet to include light and medium size corporate jets. For convenience and assured availability, we also work with a world wide network of other charter operators to make hundreds of aircraft available to our customers.

Though our company has grown, our commitment to serving our customers with the Midwestern values that have made us so successful remains the same.
